Competitor social post & paid post monitoring & archiving#14

?

It appears you are already able to pickup posts on social media, but would be great if there was a dedicated section where we could put in our competitors, and for each competitor if brandmentions could display and archive all their social media posts by channel as well as ads, so we can review what they are up to, check competitive metrics, a get nice reports like in social insider.
Thanks

the competitor comparison is already in the works. check the roadmap ;) will be available soon. tks. Now you can simply create a separate project for them and track them and see all the metrics for them. The comparison module will allow you to check this side by side.

Thanks Razvan. I was thinking more in terms of UI improvements in order to minimize having to create lots of different projects, for example: One project for our own brand, One project for our competitors mentions, one project for our competitors social media posts and ads etc.

What would be really nice is to have say one project for our brand.
And within that project, have a place where we can list all our competitors, and be able to see in one area all their mentions, in another area all their social media activity and adverts.

Having everything in one project, but in separate areas would be really nice and make managing different brands much more user friendly.

Does that make sense?

Thanks

This is something that we took in consideration when we built the product and decided not to do because we overcomplicate the creation and management process. Not everyone want to track also competitors under one project. Having a comparison for individual projects is simpler and provides the same results in the end.

Sure, I can imagine it reduces complexity, but I would ask your customers and community just to double check.

Given the fact that we are limited in how many projects we can create, I think it would greatly help the user experience and the effectiveness of brand mentions and provide much better value.

For example:

If you are a “New Business” plan customer paying $49/m, you only get 1 project so everything is mixed up together.

If you are a “Growing business” plan customer paying $79/m you only get 3 projects, so best case scenario you create 1 project for your brand, 1 project for your competitor’s mentions, and 1 project for your competitors social media activity. Or you can manage 3 brands with everything mixed together.

You then need to spend $299/m to get 10 projects…

If we had the ability to create as many projects as needed (and be only limited by the total number of keywords) then splitting things by project would make sense.

But given the limitations around the number of projects we have in each plan (1, 3, 10), having the ability to organise competitors mentions, and competitors social media activity within the one project would make more sense from a usability and value perspective and I’m sure would help you sell a lot more subscriptions & convert more trials.

Anyways these are just suggestions as I think you have created something really cool, and would love to see you succeed in the marketplace.

Thanks & Keep up the great work.

Looks like a popular request, have you thought about how it could be implemented?
