Add an "exclude mentions from domain urls" option#15

It’s possible to exclude mentions from the social media pages we specify, but it doesn’t seem to be possible to automatically exclude with one click any mentions from the domain names we specify.

For example if I’m putting my url to catch any mentions of my domain, I don’t necessarily want to see mentions of my brand within my own websites.

In the Project Settings you can exclude domains. Here is a screenshot. Is it something else you are looking for?

Thanks Razvan, yes we can exclude domains manually which is great. But would be helpful to just have a “click here to exclude all domains listed” like you do with the social media pages.

We have this on a mention basis and in bulk. check the images below. is this what you are looking for? thanks

Here are two examples to illustrate this:

Example 1: We create a project to monitor our band mentions

We list our client’s website, medium page, exernal landing pages etc to capture mentions of our websites and links to our websites, but we don’t want to actually see our website pages being picked up as mentions.

Example 2: We create a project to monitor our competitors mentions

We list all our competitor’s websites and landing pages in order to capture all external mentions of our competitor’s websites on the web, but don’t actually want to their websites appear in the mentions clogging up the reports.

In both cases, a 1 click exclude domains from appearing as mentions would be practical instead of having to type each domain name again to exclude these, or to have to mark them as spam.

It’s a small UI change but from a new user’s perspective seems like a no brainer.

Actually, when I click SPAM and exclude this domain, the domain isnt’t added to excluded websites in the project settings, but rather disappears. Having it added to the excluded domains would be better as you’d be able to keep track of what you’re excluding.

This feedback was just implemented. Exclusion of Domain mentions directly from the mentions view is now possible. Read more here
